Georgetown's Assistant Coach Sits Down to Discuss the Start of the Hoyas 2024-25 Campaign

In today's edition of The Vault Files, Georgetown Associate Head Coach Jeff Battle sits with The Vault Network's Nathan Mook to discuss his coaching philosophy and the Hoyas' strong start to the season. Georgetown is 2-0 in the early going, with wins over Lehigh (85-77) and Fairfield (69-57), thanks to a pair of standout performances from freshman big Thomas Sorber, who has averaged 22.5 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Battle, now in his second season at Georgetown as an assistant Head Coach to Ed Cooley, is rich in experience; he served as Cooley's lead assistant at Providence for eight seasons, with the Friars making five NCAA Tournament appearances. Before Providence, Battle spent 13 seasons at Wake Forest, including as associate head coach, where he helped future NBA stars- Chris Paul, Jeff Teague, and Ish Smith, to name a few. His coaching journey also includes Xavier, Delaware State, and Loyola (Maryland) stops.
